Autumn Versatility in Philly

After a few months away from sharing style notes, I couldn’t think of a better way to restart 2nd Time Style than with an evening in Philadelphia, PA. This past week, I visited a friend before their move to New York, and while catching up over rooftop views at a local sky bar, I pulled together this cozy, versatile autumn look that felt like the perfect reflection of this new season.

I wore a blue denim jacket, light forest green wide-leg slacks, a black sheer off-shoulder crop top, and black platform sandals — comfortable and layered just right for a cool evening breeze. I added a gray and black animal print scarf from a local discount store for a soft statement touch, along with matching light green-rimmed sunglasses that pulled the look together.

For jewelry, I reached into my go-to collection — silver and pearl accents paired with a statement quartz stone necklace that has subtle earthy green tones. These are pieces I love to mix and match across seasons because they always feel like “me.”

Oh, and I almost forgot — I carried a velvet-style beige crossbody satchel tote, which added the perfect soft, textured touch to the outfit.

The best part? The pants, jacket, shoes, sunglasses and bag were all thrifted finds — proof that intentional style doesn’t have to come with a high price tag.

This outfit felt like the right way to start again — intentional, expressive, and comfortable. It reminds me why I started 2nd Time Style in the first place: to celebrate creativity, sustainability, and the joy of making the most of what we already have.

Here’s to new beginnings, familiar favorites, and the fresh energy that comes with fall. 🍂
